WORK EXAMPLE
Operational decision framework
A priority plan and a map of a critical flow in one decision document.
In this text
Situation
Vors prepared a document that connected a priority plan with a map of a critical operational flow.
What was documented
The document recorded the priorities, their dependencies and the capacity they required. It also contained a critical operational flow from input to completion and the order of tasks that depended on one another.
What Vors observed
Reading the flow revealed three kinds of places: those that needed a decision, those that carried risk and those where the state remained unclear. The map showed what needed a decision and what still needed checking, without labelling these places as confirmed failures.
What was done
Vors connected the plan and the map in one document for decision-making. Priorities, dependencies, capacity and task order stayed in the same context as the key points in the critical flow.
What changed
One document showed how priorities and required capacity related to the points in the process that needed a decision or further checking.
What cannot be claimed
This anonymised example comes from one real project. The client's name and result figures are omitted because of contractual confidentiality. After delivery, we have no documented account of how the client handled the work, so we cannot confirm its adoption or use, any decisions that followed, or an operational or commercial effect.
Related engagement
In a similar situation, a Diagnostic can first map the documented flow, separate it from assumptions and define a small next step to test.
