WORK EXAMPLE
Decision framework from data and plans
Historical data and existing plans processed into one basis for further decisions.
Situation
Vors worked with real historical order data and existing commercial plans.
What was documented
Vors organised the data and plans into four layers: what the material supported, what was a hypothesis, what was a target and what remained an open implementation question. Each layer showed what was already known and what still needed verification.
What Vors observed
A starting point, a hypothesis, a target and an open question serve different kinds of decisions. The framework therefore kept them separate and did not present a planned target as a documented state.
What was done
Vors brought the data and planning inputs into one framework. It added a shared metric, a regular review rhythm and clearly scoped next steps for the website, customer communication and operational review.
What changed
The separate data and plans gained a shared structure. One framework showed which metric to use, when to review it and which steps were included in the proposal.
What cannot be claimed
This anonymised example comes from one real project. The client's name and result figures are omitted because of contractual confidentiality. After delivery, we have no documented account of how the organisation used the framework, so we cannot confirm its adoption or use, any decisions that followed, whether the proposed steps were carried out, or an organisational or commercial effect.
Related engagement
In a similar situation, a Diagnostic can check the available material and separate the documented state from hypotheses before a change is proposed.
